Filipe Albuquerque, a professional Portuguese driver, born in Coimbra, currently competes in the North American Endurance Championship (IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship) with Wayne Taylor Racing; in the European Endurance Championship (European Le Mans Series) and in the World Endurance Championship (FIA World Endurance Championship) with United AutoSports in the LMP2 category. Filipe Albuquerque started karting when he was only 7 years old, becoming a professional in 2003 when he signed a contract with CRG, Italian kart manufacturer, competing in the European and World Karting Championship. In 2005 he moved from karts to Formula cars as a Red Bull Junior Team driver until 2007. In 2008 and 2009 he drove in A1GP defending the colours of Portugal and had his first contact with GTs with Audi Italy. In 2010 he became Audi Sport Italy official driver, finishing the championship in 2nd place. He also won the Race of Champions 2010. From 2011 to 2013 he drove the DTM as an official Audi Sport driver. From 2014 to the present day, he started his magnificent career in Endurance racing, with numerous titles and victories.
